Yes, I play favorites, get over it. It's not undeserved fan-boy-dom though, The Hold Steady really are one of the best touring acts around currently. There live shows are becoming renowned, and they are extremely smart and funny to boot. They are a stellar act, which is why today's announcement makes me foam at the mouth: A new package due out April 7th on Vagrant - A Positive Rage. The first disc will be a 57 minute documentary about the boys tour for the breakout Boys & Girls in America (Watch for me in it, I followed the band on the West Coast leg of the tour). The 2nd disc will be a live disc from the now infamous Halloween 2007 show in Chicago. The disc will also include some as yet unreleased B-Sides. Get pumped!
