The Cramps Frontman Lux Interior 1948-2009

Lux Interior, lead singer of the rockabilly/punk band The Cramps died today in a California hospital of a pre-existing heart condition. He was 60 years old.
The Cramps were founded in 1976 and were included as part of the 70's New York punk rock scene playing plenty of shows at CBGB's. They never quite fit in though and really held a place all there own. Lux and his wife, Poison Ivy have continued playing shows with varying other musicians as The cramps until recent years, when Lux's health prevented it. I personally had the opportunity to see them together a few years back and Lux was still as epically self-destructive as ever. It's a show I will always hold close to my heart.
